Things To Think About Before Making A Trip To Stay In Hotels In The Home Of Glamour

By Chloe Gib

Booking a stay in hotels in Los Angeles is just the first step to enjoying a superb vacation in one of the world's most glamorous cities. After finding somewhere to stay, it is important to plan some sort of itinerary for sightseeing in the city. Without some sort of plan, visitors can spend more time deciding what to do than actually doing it.

Picking out some the most famous landmarks to see during a trip often helps to give a vacation structure. LA is well blessed with some of America's most famous tourist attractions, so picking a few out is not difficult. Iconic locations such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame are the kind of places which everyone should visit at least once before they die.

As well as the Walk of Fame, where visitors can photograph the pavement commemorations of Hollywood stars of the past, there are many other places which are fascinating to visit. Anyone who claims that LA is simply 'superficial' is not looking hard enough beneath the veneer of glamour which covers most things in the city.

Venice Beach has long been associated with an artier and more bohemian outlook than many places elsewhere in the city. Hollywood Boulevard still has an air of fading glamour, albeit a little seedy now, not that that necessarily lessens the appeal. If anyone wants a tattoo, then Hollywood Boulevard has plenty of suitable tattoo parlors.

A visit to the Downtown area is also worthwhile, not least because it is the setting for Little Tokyo. This thriving Japanese-American area is a great place to grab a bit to eat. The buildings in the Old Bank District and Gallery Row are also some of LA's more historic architectural sites.

Hollywood itself is, of course, a magnet for tourists from all over the world. While Hollywood and Highland Mall are only really good for providing good photo angles for the Hollywood sign, there are plenty of other iconic places to see. Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and the Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are held) are all here, as well as the Walk of Fame.

Finding something to do when staying in hotels in Los Angeles is therefore not a difficult thing to do. As long as someone knows where they are going and what they want to see, then LA is no more intimidating than any other city. It just might take a little longer to get around, that is all.
