Don't eat too many carbs when you work out; however, these are necessary so don't cut them out completely.

There are many ways to do workouts like using a recumbent exercise bike, and as long as you find something that suits you, it's possible to gain many benefits from it. So instead of getting bored after a period of time, change your exercises every few days to add novelty to your exercise routines.
