Jewel of the Month: Sodalite
Sodalite is an Indigo blue stone with veins of white running through it. Its name means 'sodium stone'. It energizes the brow (6th) chakra, our third eye. Sodalite has a calming affect on the mind allowing for new information to be received. It increases our yearning for freedom from restrictive ideas, dogmas, and beliefs that no longer serve us. Sodalite activates the third eye, lighting the mental realms to see the experiences along the path of our journey allowing us to perceive the heart of the experiences and the lessons they hold.
Jewels of Life:
The beginning of the year is a great time to think about the journey that we experience on this earth walk. We started out on our journeys having the experiences that others thought we should have and much of our early journey was dictated to us. Some of those early experiences caused us great pain and confusion. As adults, we are now free to set our own course for our journey. Your soul knows the paths you should take. It will whisper the directions through the voice of your heart. You must go where your heart is leading you because the heart and soul see clearly. They map the way with love. The ego often maps the way with fear. Are you following your heart and your inner voice? Are you heading in the direction that you want to go? Are you paying attention to the road signs that indicate what may be coming? Are you taking time to value the lessons that experience teaches you? Sodalite serves to remind us that it is the journey rather than the destination that gives us our greatest growth potential, rewards and joy. As you follow your heart and soul you allow yourself to have the adventure of a lifetime.
