Tenerife Hotels: The Canary Islands Have It All

By Claire Collins

The Canary Islands provide ample opportunities for travellers, whether you're looking for great nightlife, getting back to nature, adventure sports, or a combination of all of the above. You can get great deals on Lanzarote and Tenerife hotels all year round, so there's no reason not to head there for your next holiday. The biggest decision you'll have to make is which of the many great islands to choose from!

When an island is nicknamed ' the island of fire', you know it has an interesting and exciting story! As well as gorgeous beaches - after all, you want to make the most of that warm weather! - Lanzarote has a great deal of attractions and memorable places to visit. The Timanfaya National Park is one of the island's most loved and visited spots due to the magnificent active volcano. Take a tour up the volcano for breathtaking views. Likened to the landscape of the moon, this is a sight that all visitors to Lanzarote hotels should experience.

Meanwhile, Fuerteventura also offers a picturesque setting, filled with pretty beaches, coves and dunes. In fact, the island has so many beaches that this is where most water sports enthusiasts tend to head to.

There are Fuerteventura hotels right on the beach which will suit those keen to spend most of their time in the water. Although of course, there is plenty of other things to do as well. This is a culture-rich place, and you can always visit the archaeology museum, or the local craft village to embrace Fuerteventura's background and way of life.

Beaches, hotels, bars and nightclubs have made Tenerife one of the most famous of the islands. You can be relaxing on the many beaches one minute then enjoying a forest walk the next. This is a great party island where you can dance the night away or enjoy a delicious Canarian meal or simply soak up the atmosphere and immerse yourself in the exciting island life. This is one island that parties to the beat of its own drum.
